16 juveniles escape from remand home, one attempts suicide

Dhanbad, July 4 (UNI) Police apprehended 15 of the 16 inmates of child remand home here who early this morning escaped after breaking the main entrance.

Police said another inmate, Tinku Prasad aged 15, had tried to commit suicide by consuming poison.

Tinku was accused of rape and murder.

One more child was at large, police said adding the remand home has altogether 17 inmates.
