1,003 pilgrims leave for holy cave
Jammu, July 4 (UNI) A fresh batch of 1,003 pilgrims today left here for the Himalayan cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir.
The group of devotees, comprising 640 men, 185 women, 31 children and 147 sadhus, left from the base camp at M A M stadium early this morning under tight security in a fleet of 35 vehicles, officials said.
Around 43,000 pilgrims from across the country have left for the holy cave from Jammu since the commencement of the pilgrimage on June 10, sources added.
