Two remanded to judicial custody for possessing narcotics
New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) A city court today remanded two people to 14 day judicial custody, who were nabbed by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) yesterday for allegedly possessing a huge amonut of heroin.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Kamini Lau, remanded Rajesh Chauhan and Tejveer Singh to 14-day judicial custody till July 17.
The DRI sleuths had seized 35 kgs of heroin from the possession of Rajesh and Tejveer.
The cost of contraband is around Rs 35 crores in the international market, according to a senior DRI official.
They were arrested under sections 21 and 29 of Narcotics Drugs and Pshychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
