Kolkata, July 3 (UNI) The West Bengal government and the GNLF today signed an agreement incorporating two more mouzas-Chota Changra and Neopani-in Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council.

This was agreed after a meeting between Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) president Subash Ghisingh at Writers' Buildings.

The agreement was signed by state Urban Development Minister and MLA from Siliguri Ashok Bhattacharya and Mr Ghisingh in presence of the chief minister.

With these two new mouzas, the DGHC will have a total of 18 mouzas under its jurisdiction.

Later Mr Ghisingh, who is also the caretaker administrator of DGHC, told reporters that his discussion with the chief minister was more than ''satisfactory''.

''The decision on the two more mouzas--which were bone of contention between the state government and the GNLF, were sorted out in today's meeting,'' he said. With these two mouzas, 16 other mouzas are to be transferred to the DGHC.

He said the state government would now recommend to the Centre for tabling a bill in Parliament, granting sixth schedule status for DGHC.
