Sugar prices rise on good demand
Navi Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) Spot sugar wholesale prices rose on better buying support, traders at the sugar market said today.
Prices of small and medium grades hiked by Rs 12 and Rs five per quintal, respectively, on lack of fresh demand.
Similarly, ex-mill prices of small grade went up by Rs ten per quintal, on lesser stock supply, while medium grade remained steady on moderate demand.
Following were the spot sugar wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,862/1,890, medium grade Rs 1,895/1,953.
Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,850/1875 and medium grade Rs 1,870/1,910.
