''Everyone is concerned over the rise in prices that has been discussed in the Congress Working Committee,'' she said here at a state-level representatives' convention of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, while referring to the fact that Congress workers themselves raised the issue.
However, the Congress president did not spell out the anti-inflation steps.
Among those present were Union ministers Arjun Singh, Kamal Nath, Suresh Pachouri and Kantilal Bhuria, General Secretary V Narayansami -- who also holds charge of this state -- former chief minister Digvijay Singh, MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, Secretary Arun Kumar, state Congress President Subhash Yadav and other party leaders.
Earlier, Chhatarpur District Congress President Jagdeesh Shukla conveyed party workers' sentiments to Ms Gandhi.
