S Sundaresh conferred with Outstanding Scientist award

Chennai, July 3 (UNI) S Sundaresh, Director, Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE), Avadi, has been conferred with the ''Outstanding Scientist'' award.

An official release here said the award was conferred by the Defence Research and Development Organiastion (DRDO) in recognition of Mr Sundaresh's significant contributions in the Development of MBT Arjun programme.

CVRDE has also been awarded with Defence Technology Spin Off Award for its contributions in the development of world class Automatic Transmission for commercial vehicle, with fully indigenous technology, the release added.
