Rupee weak two paise; closes at Rs 46.06/08/USD

Mumbai July 3 (UNI) Indian currency today grew weak by two paise to close at Rs 46.06/08/US Dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 45.04/US Dollar.

Earlier Rupee opened at Rs 45.96/98/US Dollar and in the mid morning session traded at the same level.

The six month forward premia was at 0.99 per cent and the one year premia was at 1.13 per cent.

RBI fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 45.98/US Dollar today.

Rupee also fared well against other currencies: Rupee vs Euro was at Rs 58.94, Rupee vs Pound Sterling was at Rs 84.94 and against yen it was at Rs 40.16.
