Reliance plan slashes call rates between state capitals to 40p per m

New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) Coming as a major relief to frequent long distance callers, Reliance Communications Ltd today launched the 'Hello Capital Plan', under which calls made by individuals between the state capitals of the country, will be charged at local call rates of 40 paise per minute.

''This plan will remove the worry of high telephone bills from individuals making frequent long distance calls, within the 19 capitals the scheme is valid in,'' Reliance Communications President (Wireless Business) S P Shukla told reporters here.

Under the plan, a fixed wireless Reliance Hello customer with the '32' series numbering, will enjoy a special tariff of Rs 1.20 per minute, which is equivalent to a local call charge of 40 paise per minute.

The plan valid only for a Reliance Hello phone user, will be available on both postpaid and prepaid Hello phones, and will automatically be activated from midnight today.

The capitals the plan is available in include New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Dehra Dun, Jaipur, Lucknow and Ranchi among others.

This is the third plan offering by Reliance after the Rs 795 voucher, where call rates were 30 paise per minute and the more recent IndiaOne plan entailing a Re 1 call to anywhere.
