People reeling under sultry weather in UP

Lucknow, July 3 (UNI) Even as several areas in Uttar Pradesh were lashed by rainfall, people in other areas are still reeling under sultry weather.

Met office said here today, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Faizabad divisions received showers in the last 24 hrs .

Some areas of Lucknow, Allahabad and Kanpur also witnessed thundershowers. Ayodhya recorded 3 mm rainfall.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded at Agra Airport, which was above normal.

In the next 24 hrs, rainfall/thundershowers are likely at many places, while some areas may receive heavy rainfall.
