One killed in NSCN(IM) grenade attack

Haflong, Jul 3 (UNI) One person was killed and 16 were injured in a grenade attack by NSCN(IM) militants at Haflong Bazar today.

The Deputy Commissioner said the ultras hurled a Chinese-made grenade at the busy market area near an old mosque at 1345 hours.

The dead person was identified as one Jaganath Gupta, a local businessman.

The injured, including two women, were rushed to the Haflong Civil Hospital.

Top officials have rushed to the spot and a combing operation had been launched to nab the ultras.
