Nedunchezhiyan, Rupesh Roy out of Wimbledon junior singles
London, July 3 (UNI) Fourteenth seed India's Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan crashed out of the Wimbledon boy's singles event losing to unheralded Ed Corrie of Great Britain in the first round here today.
The 17-year-old Gujarat boy lost to Briton, ranked 495 in the world, 0-6, 7-6, 1-6.
Another Indian, Rupesh Roy also lost his first round match against world number 24 Andrej Martin of Slovakia 2-6, 5-7.
With today's losses, eighth seed Sanam Singh remained the only Indian remaining in the fray in the boy's section of the tournament.
Sanam had registered a comfortable 6-1, 6-2 opening round victory over Venezuela's Roberto Maytin on Saturday.
