Meghalaya to give more facilities to tourists
Shillong, Jul 3 (UNI) Meghalaya tourism department has made efforts to provide and develop infrastructural facilities, specially with regard to accommodation and transport, and conducted tours for the convenience of tourists.
Chief Minister J D Rymbai informed the assembly today that the tourist potential of the state had been highlighted through publicity, advertisements, participation in national and international fairs and marts to attract the maximum number of visitors.
He said about Rs 8 crores were being spent for all round development of tourism spots and infrastructure.
The chief minister said tourist inflow had increased considerably during the past three years.
