Lawyers strike continues in Jammu
Jammu, July 3 (UNI) The lawyers strike in the Jammu region demanding transfer of the high profile sex scandal case from Srinagar to the winter capital continued for the sixth consecutive day today.
The lawyers were absent from the court proceedings of High Court as well as lower courts here. The indefinite strike started since last Wednesday against the denial of right of defence and threat issued to lawyers in Srinagar while representing their clients.
The Kashmir Bar Association (KBA) in Srinagar has declared that no lawyer would be allowed to appear in the court on behalf of those arrested or charge sheeted in connection with the scandal.
