HC directs Bihar govt to furnish list of docs for Shahabuddin

Patna, JulY 3 (UNI) Patna High Court today directed the state government to furnish the list of neuro-surgeons engaged in the treatment of incarcerated RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin.

A single bench of Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad asked the state government to furnish list of neuro specialists during the hearing of a petition, filed by Shahabuddin, seeking directive to the state government for providing better treatment to him.

During the hearing, the state counsel informed the court that Shahabuddin was treated inside the jail. But the counsel of the petitioner pointed out that the MP was suffering from neuro problems and he should be treated by neuro specialists.

On the request of the petitioner, the court directed the state government to provide the list by tomorrow.

After submission of the list, the court would direct the government to treat Shahabuddin under supervision of the concerned doctors.
