GM India to expand dealership network
Chandigarh, July 3 (UNI) To enhance customer experience, General Motors (GM) India have decided to expand its dealership network this year from the present 85 sales points to 110 sales points.
Announcing this here today after the launch of Chevrolet SRV in Punjab and Chandigarh, Vice President, Marketing, Sales Mr Ankush Arora said that two new parts distribution centres had been set up this year in Maharashtra and Delhi to supplement the two original centres in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. This would ensure the availability of parts, he added.
Mr Arora said GM would continue the extensive localisation of its products in order to reduce the price of key components.
GM India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Motors Corporation. Besides, the Chevrolet Tavera and Chevrolet Optra, GM India manufactures the Chevrolet Aveo as its facility in Halol, Gujarat.
