Gang of Bangladeshi burglars busted, six arrested
New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) The Delhi police have arrested a gang of six Bangladeshi burglars involved in several cases of robberies in the posh colonies of South Delhi.
The Kingpin of the gang Mohd Fareed and his accomplice Mohd Kabir were arrested yesterday from the Nizamuddin area while they had come there to dispose of some electronic items.
Interrogation revealed that they, along with three others had come to Delhi from Bangladesh for the sole purpose of committing burglaries in the capital.
Based on the information provided by them, police arrested three receivers of the stolen property, Mahasul Alam, Mohd Munna and Mukesh Jain from various areas of South Delhi.
Eight costly cameras, four zoom lenses and two DVD players were recovered from their possession.
In a separate incident, police arrested four Bangladeshi involved in several cases of burglaries committed in South Delhi. The four were arrested from the Meethapur area on saturday where they had assembled to commit a dacoity. The kingpin of the gang, Mintoo and his associate Yashin, however, escaped to Bangladesh before they could be arrested, police said.
