4 of family killed in fire

Gwalior, July 3 (UNI) Four members of a family were burnt alive as a fire engulfed a shop and the residential portion above it in Morar area here last night, police said.

Police said the fire which broke out in a saree shop engulfed the four-storey building and four people, including two children, died of burns on the spot.

The victims were identified as Dwarika Prasad Khandelwal(65), Babita (32), Chhottu(5) and Purvi(3).

Fire tenders from the airbase and Malanpur industrial estate fought for three hours to contain the blaze.
