Basseterre, St Kitts, June 25 (UNI) India was all out for 362, 20 short of saving follow on but surprisingly West Indies didn't enforce follow on. West Indies made 581 in the first innings.

VVS Laxman fell immediately after scoring his century as the West Indies pressed to serve India follow on after lunch on penultimate day of third test.

He batted beautifully throughout the day to reach his tenth century butleft when the task of saving follow on was still unfinished. It was a crucial knock from Laxman that held the Indian innings together after Taylor's assault early in the morning.

Laxman faced 231 balls for his hundred and hit 15 glorious boundaries in his knock. With Kumble looking good, Laxman flourished after lunch and hit few delectable boundaries. He took 12 runs from a Bravo over to reach 99. A gentle tap to third-man region next over earned him his tenth test century. But in the next over he nicked Collins to Ramdin who took a diving catch to send Laxman back in pavilion.

Seeing opportunity to wrap tail fast, West Indies bowlers peppered the bastmen with short stuff. Kumble who was playing beautifully for his 39 fell to a shorter one as he pulled a delivery from Collymore on his ribs to fine leg boundary where Collins took a juggling catch. Sreesanth edged to the slips and India were left with the last pair of Harbhajan and Munaf still needing 67 runs to save follow on.

After taking five wicket haul yesterday Harbhajan Singh commented that on this batting paradise even he would score runs.

Bhajji lived up to his promise and brought India whisker close to saving follow on. Being the senior partner to Munaf, Harbhajan denied many a singles to shield Patel brilliantly. Harbhajan also showed some lusty hittings, hitting Taylor for 4 fours in one over.

Munaf finally edged in the slips for 13 and Harbhajan was left stranded on 38 not out that included 8 fours.

The last pair added 47 runs.

Earlier, VVS Laxman was the sole Indian batsman who took the fight to the West Indies remaining unbeaten on 68 at Lunch. Anil Kumble was giving him company on 17.

Jerome Taylor struck thrice in two overs in the fourth morning of the third Test. Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh and Kaif all departed in quick succession. West Indies pacers had learnt their lessons well and instead of bowling in the channel outside off stump, they were sticking to wicket to wicket line and were concentrating in bringing the ball in.
