Woman gives birth to male baby in bus

Hamirpur, June 24 (UNI) A woman gave birth to a male baby in a Haryana Roadways bus last evening with the help of a group of women passengers.

The woman was travelling from Karer village to Hamirpur town when she developed labour pains. The bus was parked on a side of the road. Though the male passengers left the bus and informed the district hospital authorities, woman gave birth to a healthy male baby much before the arrival of the hospital team.

Both mother and child were later taken to the hospital, where both were stated to be in good health, according to Hamirpur Chief Medical Officer Dr Pritam Singh Dogra.
