Trade Unions complain against Labour Minister to PM
Hyderabad, June 24 (UNI) CPI national leader and AITUC General Secretary Gurudas Dasgupta today said the trade unions had complained aginst Union Labour Minister and Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ''for not discharging his duties regularly.'' Alleging that Mr Rao was only concentrating on Telgangana and neglecting the plight of workers since he took charge, he told reporters ''The Labour minister is sitting idle in the ministerial chambers and not doing his job as a responsible Union Minister''.
''He did not conduct even a single meeting with trade unions on new PF acts and other amendments that have taken place recently.'' Mr Dasgupta said the stability of the Congress-led UPA government depended on the government itself. ''Confrontation beteween the government and workers could take place in future in protest against its policies and more strikes would also be held,'' he added.
