Three Naxals in NCL kidnapping case sent to judicial remand

Vijayawada, June 24 (UNI) Three Pratigatana Seenanna Dalam members involved in kidnapping of Nagarjuna Cement Limited (NCL) general manager and his personal officer, have been sent to judicial remand.

Police told UNI over the phone today that the three Naxals - P Ashok, K Ramesh and D Sreenu - were nabbed at Palavancha in Khammam district yesterday and produced before Kothagudem Second Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate who remanded them last night.

Efforts are on to nab three others who are absconding.

Police sources said the dalam members were sent to Warangal Central Jail this morning as per the magistrate's orders.

Police seized two autorickshaws and one cell phone from them.

They said the three were allegedly involved in a number of crimes in Krishna and Khammam districts.

NCL general manager U V Rama Raju and his personal officer Sahik Galeb Saheb were abducted by six armed men from the factory constuction site in Kadimpothavram of G Kondur Mandal early this week.

The two officials were released on Thursday.
