Second Mobile Switching Centre launched in Siliguri

Siliguri, Jun 24 (UNI) Tata Teleservice today launched their second "Mobile Switching Centre" here.

The company for their Tata Indicom Telecom service was already having only switching centre in Durgapur.

Siliguri centre would be the second in rest of West Bengal circle.

Mr Anurag Garg, Circle Operating Officer (COO), said this new centre will faciliate the network system in North Bengal, adding more services to the customers would be launched soon.

Mr Garg said the new switching centre of Ericsson Model 2 has a capacity to host 1.5 lakh customers and the two switches. Durgapur and Siliguri together can support about 3.5.lakh customers.
