Rs 1.40 crores under TSP for Kupwara
Srinagar, Jun 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government has earmarked Rs 1.40 crore under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) for the frontier district of Kupwara, the worst affected district by militancy in the state.
This include Rs 11.30 lakh under Social Welfare sector, an official spokesman said here today.
He said decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of concerned officers and Advisory Board convened by District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, Abdul Majid Khanday.
The meeting was informed that Rs 24.81 lakh have been kept for providing potable water facility to the tribal community in the district.
About 1100 chidren of the community are being provided computer training for which Rs 9.45 lakh have been allocated.
The meeting was apprised that under Sheep Husbandry sector 25 income generating units are being established at a cost of Rs 2.50 lakh.
Similarly, 66 units are being set up with Rs 4.95 lakh under Animal Husbandry sector and Rs 50 lakh have been proposed for soil conservation work.
