Police bust gang of pig pinchers in Punjab
Fatehgarh Sahib, June 24 (UNI) The district police today claimed to have busted an inter-state gang, involved in stealing pigs from Punjab and the neighbouring states.
These pigs were slaughtered at Moga and the meat was then sold in the market.
Giving details, SSP Shiv Kumar said here today that three members of this gang were nabbed near Sirhind when they were transporting stolen pigs in a vehicle yesterday. The arrested persons were identified as Sanjeev Kumar, Jagtar Singh and Balwinder Singh, all residents of Moga.
The pigs were stolen from various places in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, New Delhi and Punjab.
