Narayana Panicker presents new budget

Perunna (Kerala), Jun 24 (UNI) Nair Service Society (NSS) General Secretary P K Narayana Panicker today presented a Rs 50 crore balanced budget for the year 2006-2007.

Mr Panicker presented his 23rd budget before the community representatives at NSS Head Quarters here.

He presented the revised budget for the year 2005-2006 showing a revenue of Rs 34,15,51,310 crore and an expenditure of Rs 32,87,97,740 crore.

The NSS had formulated a Social Service Department to help the NSS members to find out ways of self-employment. A sum of Rs 25 lakh had been earmarked in the budget for the department.
