Madani not getting proper medical treatment: PDP
Thiruvananthapuram, June 24 (UNI) The People's Democratic Party (PDP) today alleged that its chairman Abdul Nazar Madani was denied good treatment in hospitals outside Combatore Central Jail.
Though the Tamil Nadu government had assured proper and better treatment for him, it seemed there was a conspiracy to deny him this PDP working chairman Poonthura Siraj told a news conference here.
Following a request from Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, his Tamil Nadu counterpart M Karunanidhi had issued necessary orders to provide Madani better treatment in hospitals outside the jail.
Doctors who examined him had reported to the Tamil Nadu government that Madani did not require special treatment as his overall health condition was good and he required treatment only for diabetes.
Mr Siraj urged Mr Karunanidhi to take immediate steps to provide Mr Madani better treatment as his health condition was deteriorating day by day and he had even suffered a minor heart attack in jail.
