Light rains, winds in capital brings some relief from sultry weath
New Delhi, June 24 (UNI) Lights rains and a fresh wave of Easterly winds today brought some relief to Delhiites from sultry weather of the past few days.
A high humidity level of 49 per cent, however, led to a rise in maximum temperature to 40 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature also rose to 27.8 degrees C.
After three days of bright sunlight, the capital today witnessed a heavy overcast sky. The thick clouds, together with a strong winds, led to light rains in many areas of Delhi, bringing coolness in the air.
The weather office has forecast more rains towards evening or tonight. They have forecast a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundery development and light rain in some areas. The maximum temperature is, however, likely to remain at around 40 degrees C.
A largely cloudless sky and bright sunlight have, in the past three days, led to perspiring conditions in the capital, resulting in a constant rise in mercury.
