After three days of bright sunlight, the capital today witnessed a heavy overcast sky. The thick clouds, together with a strong winds, led to light rains in many areas of Delhi, bringing coolness in the air.

The weather office has forecast more rains towards evening or tonight. They have forecast a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundery development and light rain in some areas. The maximum temperature is, however, likely to remain at around 40 degrees C.

A largely cloudless sky and bright sunlight have, in the past three days, led to perspiring conditions in the capital, resulting in a constant rise in mercury.
