Kerala-bound plane turns back due to snag, Indians disappointed

Dubai, June 24 (UNI) About 130 Indians, mostly from Kerala, who had won a free trip to the state, had to face disappointment when their chartered aircraft had to turn back after 20 minutes in the air because of a technical snag.

They were the winners of the several contests organised by the popular Malayalam radio channel, Hit FM, over the week to celebrate its second anniversary.

They were to celebrate their win at the famous Silver Storm Water Theme park in Athirappilly near Cochin.

The plane, which took off from Dubai at 0130 hrs yesterday, was forced to make an emergency landing due to a technical snag.

An official of Hit FM assured the winners that the management would explore the possiblility of organising the trip again.
