Jeev drops to tied 10th in Mizuno Open
Okayama, June 24 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh carded a disappointing one-over 73 to lose his overnight lead and slip to the tied 10th spot after the second round of the Mizuno Open here.
The current Asian Tour's UBS Order of Merit leader shot three birdies against two bogeys and a double bogey to slip down the leaderboard with a two-day total of five-under 139.
The Volvo China Open winner is three shots behind leader Dinesh Chand of Fiji, who carded a four-under 68 to take one shot lead over Korean SK Ho (67).
The Indian had a bad start as he double bogeyed the first hole and managed just one birdie before dropping a shot on the eighth.
Two-over at the halfway mark, Jeev stumbled again on the 14th but came back to hit two birdies on the 15th and 18th to end the day on a high.
Jeev needs to end the Japan Golf Tour tournament among the top four for a place in The Open at the Royal Liverpool in England next month.
