HMA awards presented

Hyderabad, Jun 24 (UNI) ITC Limited chairman Y C Deveshwar today presented 34th Hyderabad Management Association (HMA) annual awards to the persons who excelled in business and management.

The 'Manager of the year' award was presented to R Sridhar, chief operating officer, L and T Infocity, and 'Entrepreneur of the year' award to D Vidyasagar, managing director and co founder SEC Industries. Anand Manne, managing director of Polmon Instruments Pvt Ltd has received the 'Small Scale Entrepreneur of the Year' award.

Mr Deveshwar also presented the 'Personnel of the Year' to B Ashok Reddy, executive vice president, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs of Infotech Enterprises and 'Life Time Achievement' award to Dr BL Maheswari, chairman of Centre for Organisation Development in recognition of his unique achievments.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Deveshwar said the ITC had targetted to achieve 100 per cent carbon and water positive company status in next two years at global level. At present, the company had reached 95 per cent by converting the company into corban and water positive company by utilising carban wastage, he added.
