Heavy rain in many places in Kerala, Lakshadweep
Thiruvananthapuram, June 24 (UNI) The Southwest monsoon is active over Kerala and Lakshadweep with many places getting heavy rain.
While Kunnamkulam recorded the highest rainfall of 14 cm, Karipur airport, Mannarkkad, Pattambi, Koyilandy and Vatakara received 11 cm each.
Aluva, Perumbavoor and Ameni received eight cm each while Parur and Ottapalam recorded seven cm of rainfall.
The Met office here said rain or thunder showers are likely to occur in many places in Kerala and isolated heavy rain in some places in the next 48 hours.
