HC notice to 7 officers in criminal case

Indore, June 24 (UNI) Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued notice to seven officers, including Home Secretary and Director General of Police.

Mr Justice A M Sapre issued the notice on Thursday on a petition filed by Rajendra Kumar of Ujjain, who was shot at and injured by Vijay Rathore and others on February 14 this year.

The petitioner said police had not arrested the accused nor put up the challan in the court. On the other hand, he said, police had kept him on the watch-list.

He has pleaded for arrest of the accused and presenting the challan in the court and drop the proceedings against him initiated by Chimanganj Mandi police station.

Notices were also issued to Ujjain's Inspector General of Police, DIG, Superintendent of Police and Collector.
