Haryana minister's cousin shot dead

Rewari, June 24 (UNI) A cousin of Haryana Revenue and Irrigation Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav was shot dead at Saharanwas village in this district today.

Petrol pump owner, Anoop Yadav, was asleep when three bike-borne armed men came to the pump and fired at him, killing him on-the-spot. The assailants looted Rs 20,000 from the petrol pump and fled the scene, police said.

Capt Ajay Singh Yadav, who was in Chandigarh, immediately left for Saharanwas, his native village. Anoop was his paternal uncle's son.

Petrol pump manager Dharambir and other workers, who woke up on hearing the shots, informed the police on night patrol. police chased the bike but the assailants could not be tracked down.
