Government officials dismissed on bribery case
Hyderabad, Jun 24 (UNI) Y Lalitha Kumari, Office Superintendent of Mandal Revenue Office at Rajupalam in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh was dismissed from service by the Collector and District Magistrate, following her conviction by the Special Judge for ACB, Vijayawada.
In a relese here today ACB officials said that she was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and to pay a fine of Rs 2500, and in default, would suffer an imprisonment for another three months.
Ms Kumari was trapped by the ACB officials in December 1998 when she accepted a bribe of Rs 300 from the complainant for doing an official favour.
M Devarajulu, Mandal Revenue Officer Peddamandyam in Chittor district was dismissed from the service by the Government, following an enquiry by the Tribunal for disciplinary proceedings in ACB case.
Earlier Mr Devarajulu, was trapped by the ACB officials in October 2001 when he accepted a bribe of Rs 700 from the complainant for doing an official favour, the release added.
