Forest Range Officer suspended for violating order
Sirsi, Karnataka, June 24 (UNI) A Forest Range Officer of Katagal Forest Range in Kumta taluk has been suspended on the charge of violating a Forest Department Order.
Forest department sources said the officer, Ashok Bhat, had earlier been serving as Forest Range Officer of Kumta range. Then, his senior officials had instructed him to transport a tree, which was in front of the Officer's house, to a nearby forest depot. But instead, he had utilised the tree for building Government quarters, the sources added.
