Farmer commits suicide with 2 children

Jabalpur, June 24 (UNI) A poor farmer committed suicide along with his two minor sons by consuming poison, police said.

The incident took place at Amgawan village under Majhgawan police station area of this district yesterday. The reason for the extreme step was not known, police said.

Police said Mangilal Burman initially consumed poison in his farm and later fed the same to his minor sons Shivam(11) and Satyam(10).

Coming to sense after he lost his consciousness for some time, he carried both sons on his back to his sister's house, where both children died. Immediately, he ran towards his field and died on way.

His wife had gone to her parent's house here when the incident took place.
