LONDON, June 24 (Reuters) England captain Michael Vaughan could face a fourth operation on his right knee, British media reported today.

Vaughan had surgery on his knee last December and made his comeback for county side Yorkshire at the end of May but soreness in the joint prevented him from fielding in the match against Sussex yesterday.

''There are no imminent plans for surgery but we will look at things at the start of next week,'' Yorkshire physiotherapist Scott McAllister was quoted as saying in The Daily Telegraph.

''Do we continue down the same route or are there other options? We are hopeful that surgery will not be required but it's not ideal if he keeps getting discomfort.'' Vaughan has not played for England since returning home early from the tour of India in February after only featuring in the first warm-up game.
