DGP dismisses reports of top Maoist leaders in police custody

Tirupati, June 24(UNI) Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Swaranjeet Sen today dismissed press reports and Civil Rights Organisations allegations that top leaders of the CPI(Maoist) were captured by the police.

The DGP, who came here on a pilgrimage, told newspersons that the reports stating that Maoist top leaders Rama Krishna and Sudhakar were in police custody were ''figment of imagination''.

Stating that the facts would come to light within two to three days, he urged the media to show restraint while disseminating news about insurgents.
