Case registered against bank manager, one else for fraud
Mandsaur, MP June 24 (UNI) A case has been registered against a bank manager and one else for withdrawing more than Rs 1.25 lakh from the bank accounts of two customers by fraud, police said today.
Haripura village-resident Lalchand Banjara had opened a Kisan card at a nationalised bank in Gandhinagar area.
He withdrew Rs 30,000 from his account but the bank statement showed his account was debited by Rs 70,000.
Though Balu Banjara's Kisan card was of Rs 30,000 limit, his bank account showed a debit of Rs 65,000.
On receiving complaints by Lalchand and Balu on June 15, police invesitigated the matter.
A case was registered against bank manager Ramchandra Silaiya and one Ram Singh on the charge of fraud yesterday.
