Pondicherry, June 24 (UNI) All India Congress Committee General Secretary V Narayanasamy, MP, today urged the Union Government to depute an official team to Sri Lanka to find a settlement to the prevailing unrest in the island nation.

Condemning the attack on the Tamils in Sri Lanka, Mr Narayanasamy, while addressing a press conference here said DMK Led-Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) had urged the Centre to intervene into the issue.

Stating that the Union Government would only support the Tamils, and never support terrorism or the LTTE. Mr Narayanasamy urged the Sri Lankan Government to provide adequate facilities to the Tamils so that they would not leave for India as refugees.

Reffering to AIADMK Leader J Jayalalithaa's remark on the formation of a Third Front, the Congress leader said party leaders in New Delhi know very well about Jayalalithaa and no one would come forward to forge an alliance with her.
