Agarkar joins Tendulkar at Lashings cricket club

London, June 24 (UNI) Team India pacer Ajit Agarkar joins fellow Mumbaikar Sachin Tendulkar at Lashings cricket club here to play three matches over the next couple of weeks.

The club said in a release that Agarkar will be part of the Lashings World XI to play three matches for Lashings World XI against Reigate Priory Cricket Club, Surrey (June 25), Middleton Cricket Club, West Sussex (July 2) and Sutton Valence School, Nr Maidstone, Kent (July 6).

Earlier, South African fast bowler Nantie Hayward also joined the club for guest appearances in a few matches.

The club's list of illustrious players include, Henry Olonga and Tatenda Taibu of Zimbabwe, West Indians Richie Richardson, Vasbert Drakes, Alvin Kallicharran, Jimmy Adams, Gordon Greenidge Courtney Walsh and Phil Simmonds, Kiwi pair of Chris Harris and Chris Cairns, Aussies Ian Harvey and Greg Blewett, Sri Lanka duo of Aravinda de Silva and Russel Arnold and the English trio of Clare Connor, Phil DeFreitas and Chris Lewis.
