Zindagi Express chugs into Mysore rly station

Mysore, June 23 (UNI) The unique 'Zindagi Express', highlighting 50 years of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and its aims, has reached the city and the exhibition on wheels was inaugurated by Police Commissioner Praveen Sood at the city railway station today.

This is the 28th stop for the Zindagi Express, which began its journey from New Delhi on April 26 and had a total of 39 halts across the country.

The theme of the unique experiment was 'insuring lives, ensuring smiles'. Hundreds of students from various schools had a glimpse of the expo on wheels, which tells many a story about how and when LIC was started, its growth from a small budget insurance company into a major corporation with properties worth more than Rs 5,00,000 crore.

Eight bogies had different displays of LIC's various activities and its future plans and a bogie had a health unit and free check up camps organised for visitors. The expo on wheels would proceed on its journey tomorrow.
