Sultry conditions continue in MP
Bhopal, June 23 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh continued to reel under sultry conditions with temperature recording above 40 degrees Celsius at several places.
The temperature was recorded at 44 degrees C in Sheopur, while it was 42.5 degrees C in Gwalior, 39 degrees C in Indore and Satna, 37 degrees C in Jabalpur and 40 degrees C in Rewa.
The state capital experienced blistering heat but got some respite with clouds and drizzle occurring in the evening. The city recorded a maximum of 40.9 degrees C and a minimum of 29.4 degrees C.
The meteorological department said light rainfall blessed some parts in Jabalpur, Satna and Indore providing some relief to denizens.
The department predicted light rainfall in Hoshangabad, Indore and some parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
