Specilists visit Maudhany daily
Coimbatore, June 23 (UNI) Tamil Nadu medical director Dr Vijayalakshmi is monitoring the health of Kerala-based People Democratic Party (PDP) founder leader and Coimbatore bomb blast case under-trial Abdul Nasar Maudhany.
Talking to UNI Coimbatore Medical College (CMC) dean Dr Kalanidhi today said a team of doctors including a diabetologist, neurologist, cardiologist and general physician from CMC hospital- was visiting the Central Prison daily to examine the under-trial. ''The team also submits a report daily to be sent to the Prison Medial Director Dr Vijaya Lakshmi'' he added.
It may be noted that Maudhany's counsel complained that the PDP leader was suffering from chronic diabetes, back pain, and using a worn-out artificial limb for his amputated leg.
Keral Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, in his recent meeting with his Tamil Nadu counter part M Karinanidhi had urged him to provide proper treatment to Maudhany on humanitarian grounds.
