SCMF ties up with IOB to distribute MF schemes

New Delhi, June 23 (UNI) Standard Chartered Mutual Fund (SCMF) today announced a strategic tie-up with the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), under which the bank will distribute the various SCMF schemes worth over Rs 9,000 crore in assets under management.

''This partnership with IOB will make our investment services more accessible to retail investors. We also believe that public sector banks will play a key role in spreading mutual funds into smaller centres,'' Standard Chartered AMC MD Naval Bir Kumar said.

Standard Chartered, a well-established fund house is sponsored by the Standard Chartered Group and has over 200,000 investor accounts.

IOB, with its huge network of about 1,500 branches across the country, will serve as a far-reaching distribution channel for the schemes and products of SCMF.
