PM greets Virbhadra on his 73rd birthday

Shimla, June 23 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today greeted Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on his 73rd birthday.

Traditional musical troupes assembled here from different parts of the state to celebrate the occasion.

Similar functions were also organized at district, sub divisions and village level. Blood donations camps were also organized by various non governmental organizations to mark the celebration.

Himachal Pradesh Governor VS Kokje, different Union ministers, leaders of different political parties, senior leaders of the All India Congress Committee greeted Mr Singh on telephone, while his cabinet colleagues, Members of Parliament, Members of the State Legislative Assembly, Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of various Boards and Corporations, Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Shimla, councilors, senior officers of civil, military and police forces, and above all people from all walks of life from all over the State felicitated him at his residence and office.

The Chief Minister thanked all the people for their good wishes and greetings and hoped that their cooperation would help him work with renewed vigour and vitality to make the State progress and achieve new heights in all sectors of development in coming years.
