Over 40 refugees arrive from Lanka

Rameswaram, June 23 (UNI) A total of 43 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees from Jaffna and Trincomalee landed on Indian shores today in six boats, according to Dhanushkodi police.

While 36 people, from 12 families, arrived this evening, seven members of one family arrived in a country boat at noon today.

They are being put through a check before being sent to the refugee camp at Mandapam, police added.
