Man found dead in hotel room

Varanasi, June 23 (UNI) A man was found dead under mysterious circumtances inside the room of a hotel in the Luxa area here today.

Police said here that Shiv Shankar (50), a resident of Nagpur (Maharashtra) was found dead inside the room of a hotel in the Luxa area.

On enquiry, the hotel staff revealed that Shiv Shankar had checked into the hotel last morning and went to his room last night after having dinner at the restaurant.

When one of the hotel staff went to the room this morning, he saw the door open and Shiv Shankar lying dead inside the room, police added.

The matter was brought to the notice of police which sent the body for post-mortem examination.
