Khazana Jewellery to open two showrooms in Bangalore

Bangalore, June 23 (UNI) Khazana Jewellery, a reputed showroom in Chennai, will make its foray into Bangalore by opening two exclusive stores in the city, its Managing Director Kishore Jain said today.

Talking to newsmen here, he said the company, which had posted a turnover of Rs 175 crore last year, had opened six stores--three each in Hyderabad and Chennai-- to capture the market in South India.

Mr Jai claimed that Khazana would be the first 100 per cent BIS hallmarked jewellery showroom in Bangalore.

The showrooms would be inaugurated by Bollywood actor Bipaasha Basu on June 28. It would offer gold at the Chennai rates which was about Rs 40 less per gram than the prevailing rate in the city.

Khazana also had shops in Dubai, Singapore, Dhaka and Colombo, he said, adding that it had stopped export of jewellery in 1996 in order to concentrate more on the domestic market.
